Nimisha Sajayan is an Indian actress,[1] known for her role as Sreeja in the Malayalam film Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum . Nimisha Sajayan made her acting debut with the film ‘Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum’. She played the lead role in editor B Ajith Kumar's directorial debut produced by rajeev ravi.Her upcoming movie is ‘chola’ directed by Sanal kumar sasidharan and Joju George plays the antagonist. Her notable works are sreeja from thondimuthalum driksaakshiyum , Aishwarya from Eeda Hannah Elizabeth from Oru Kuprasidha Payyan . Her upcoming project is with the ace cinematographer - director Rajeev Ravi titled Thuramukham opposite Nivin pauly. [2][3][4]

Personal life


Nimisha was born in Mumbai as the daughter of Mr. Sajayan and Mrs. Bindhu from Kollam. Her father is an engineer. She has an elder sister named Nithu. Nimisha did her schooling at Carmel Convent school, Mumbai. She is a student of mass communication at K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research in Mumbai. Her mother's ancestral home is in Punalur, Kollam district.[5]



Sports career


Nimisha holds a black belt in Taekwondo. She represented Maharashtra in Tawkwondo national competitions. She got the black belt when she was in 8th standard.[6]



Acting career


Nimisha started her acting career with the film ‘Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum’ directed by Dileesh Pothan. She portrays the character Sreeja, a young woman who works in a supermarket. Nimisha also bagged the lead role in editor B Ajith Kumar's directorial debut produced by filmmaker Rajeev Ravi. She plays Aishwarya, a college student. She bagged the 49th Kerala state film awards 2019 for the movies Oru Kuprasidha Payyan directed by Madhupal and Chola directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan.
